John Woeste

As a Dayton-area native and University of Dayton graduate, John began his career as an auditor for what was then known as one of “The Big Eight” accounting firms. From there, he became the comptroller for a nonprofit organization, then an accounting and management instructor and department head at a junior college. John’s experiences in accounting and education have proven to offer a beneficial background for our joint practice. Building relationships with clients is a lot like building relationships with students. It is built on trust, a desire to help you pursue your goals, and a mutual understanding that we work as a team.

John began his investment industry career in 1999 at Smith Barney. Prior to his affiliation with Savage and Associates and Osaic, he spent more than 20 years at Stifel Independent Advisors (previously Century Securities). Leveraging his vast experience and knowledge, along with the robust resources provided by Savage and Osaic, John’s goal is to help you take the right financial steps to work toward your goals. Through attention to detail and genuine caring, he seeks to minimize your stress and maximize your joy as you navigate the financial aspects of life. John holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses.

John lives in Miamisburg with his wife, Nancy. They have been married for over 30 years and have three adult children who bring them great happiness. Outside the office, John enjoys cycling, hiking, playing disc golf, and traveling to National Parks and historic sites around the U.S. He is also an avid sports fan, especially football, basketball, and tennis.
